Behind the Lens: The Cornish Coastline

“A cold, magnificent light that only hits the Atlantic cliffs in mid-February.”

The Pursuit of Light

The rugged cliffs of Cornwall offer a unique perspective on wildlife photography. In this expedition, I spent three weeks documenting the migratory patterns of seabirds during the early spring thaw. Every morning began at 4:30 AM. Climbing down the granite faces near Land's End requires more than just a good eye for a shot; it requires patience and a deep respect for the Atlantic's power.

What struck me most wasn't the scenery, but the sheer tenacity of the wildlife. These creatures thrive in environments that feel hostile to humans. Every frame is a testament to resilience and the delicate balance of nature.

Conservation First

Ethics are the foundation of my work. I follow a strict "no-trace" policy, never baiting animals or disrupting their natural behaviors for a shot. The welfare of the animal always precedes the importance of the photograph.
